From my first phone call to Vicki, she was always close to her cell and easy to get in touch with! She was flexible with our schedule and shoot site. She didn't have much time to work with our US Presidential candidate, but in the time she did have she was personable and put the candidate at ease, as well as doing a beautiful job preparing him for the shoot. I have worked both in industrials (for IBM, Harvard Business School, Churchill Films of Los Angeles, etc.) and in Hollywood (Universal Pictures, Warner Bros., MGM, NBC, CBS, ABC, etc.)
I can honestly say that you are unique as a make-up artist in that I have felt from the few times we've worked together that you are 100% committed to the well-being of the production. My experience with most Make-Up Artists is that they do their job and only look to make things better if asked. You do more more than that.
But you are more than just a consumate, competent professional in being on time, technically proficient in your craft, easy to communicate with, knowledgable about make-up time required for different actors, and so on. But I perceive you as being more: a true TEAM player, who cares deeply about the production and will do her utmost to make the show great. You are always thinking about both big things AND little things. You offer suggestions, are flexible, give feedback, are courteous and respectful of all cast and crews...
Your presence on our shows gave me one less thing to have to worry about, and one more element to be glad of.

It is my pleasure to recommend the make-up and hair styling of Vicki Morgenstern. Vicki's talent extends beyond the appropriate and indeed, beautiful, application of make-up and hair designing. It was an intensive taping schedule involving the remote shooting of a large number of people in a very short amount of time. I am an art director and presently run my own small agency. During the past sixteen years I have worked for Ingalls, Mullen and Cosmopulos, Crowley & Daly. It was the later client which first brought me together with Vicki Morgenstern. She has clearly helped to make several photography assignments very successful. Both indoors and out, for black and white and color, with professional and amateur models she has made the difference. And on all occasions clients have volunteered their praise for her contributions.
She has a good sense of the technical aspects of photography as it relates to her craft. After a quick study of a model, she applies just the right touch for the type of lighting, film and mood. The final photographic products have always exhibited very natural looking people with just the right touch of character for the assignment.
Just as important as her skill as a makeup artist is her rapport with models. On several occasions I have seen her sit with an amateur model for about twenty minutes, preparing him or her for the camera, and each one has then come before the photographer or myself with the confidence and patience of a seasoned professional model.
I happily recommend Vicki to anyone desiring to produce wonderful looking photographs of people.
